El buitrón (cisticola juncidis) es un pájaro muy pequeño.

Puede medir entre 10 y 12 centímetros.

Tiene el píleo  y la espalda rayados con líneas marrones y pecho y vientre amarillo pálido.

Estos pajarillos se encuentran en los cinco continentes pero es difícil verlos porque la mayor parte del tiempo están escondidos en la hierba cazando insectos.

Prefieren las zonas húmedas cubiertas de hierbas altas y arbustos donde se encuentran a salvo mientras cazan insectos.

Estos los fotografié en el barrón que cree en las dunas de Salinas, en Asturias (España).

The Zitting Cisticola, also called fantailed warbler,  is a very small bird.

It can be 10 or 12 centimetres long.

It is brown striped on the head and back and light yellow on the chest and belly.

These little birds can be found in the five continents but it is difficult to see them because the most time they are hidden in the grass.

They  prefer wetland areas covered by grass and bushes where they feel save while they catch insects.

I photographed these ones in the high grass that grows in the sand dunes in Salinas, in Asturias (Spain).
